Highlights

The Program Committee invites proposals for papers, symposia and poster sessions. An abstract of maximum 250 words is requested for papers and posters, maximum of 500 each words for symposia submissions. Identify 2-3 learning objectives for participants at your presentation.



Proposals should address forensic mental health issues in relation to:
# problems in the interface between general and forensic mental health services (treatment adherence, coerced treatment, legal aspects)
# interdisciplinarity
# assessment, management and prevention of antisocial behaviour and violence
# treatment approaches
# neurobiology and violent behaviour
# psychopharmacological treatment strategies
# ethical aspects
# human rights issues
# autonomy vs paternalism
# legal issues, mental health legislation
# abuse of (forensic) psychiatry
# correctional services
# policy and service system development
# gender issues
# cultural issues, ethnic minorities
# juvenile offenders
# sexual offenders
# administrative/economic aspects of offender treatment



Electronic Submission of Abstracts – abstracts to be submitted online via our website www.iafmhs.org by January 11, 2008. Pease follow the instructions given on the website. Abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee and a decision confirmed by 28 February 2008. Presenters are responsible for their own registration, transportation and accommodation costs.
