Demographic ageing and its association with an increased incidence of tumours of the nervous system, neurodegenerative, skeletal muscle and peripheral nerve diseases, challenge (neuro) pathologists, neurologists and clinical neuroscientists worldwide. In an era of rapid developments and innovations in Neuropathology, there is an ever increasing need to regularly update our knowledge, especially to guide our practice by Innovations and Evidence Based Medicine.
You will find an excellent opportunity for this at the ECNP2008, which is jointly organized by Euro-CNS and the Hellenic Society of Neuropathology. New will be the in- depth coverage of two main themes, Tumours of the Central Nervous System and Epilepsy', whereas another part of the Program will be dedicated to various other neuropathological topics. Timely issues in these fields will be discussed by renowned experts in plenary sessions, whereas mini symposia and workshops will be held in parallel. There will be ample opportunity for young investigators to present their research in oral and poster presentations and prizes will be awarded to the best posters.
