Highlights: Now entering its 6th year, Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia are proud to be hosting the 2008 Western Regional International Health Conference (WRIHC) at SFU’s Burnaby Campus. The WRIHC is an interdisciplinary forum focusing on building stronger links between universities and disciplines concerned and working with international health.

This conference seeks to improve the understanding of global health inequalities through three main objectives:
• To encourage critical examination of global health disparities and their determinants
• To explore global frameworks for addressing these disparities, and
• To promote the involvement of health students and professionals as agents of change
