The Sixth International Workshop on Semiconductor Gas Sensors - SGS 2008 is the newest in a series of interdisciplinary conferences devoted to all aspects of semiconductor gas sensors research. Following on from the success of the recent International Workshops on Semiconductor Gas Sensors - SGS in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006 in Ustroń, Poland, this meeting will also be devoted to reviewing the newest achievements and trends in science, technology and applications of semiconductor gas sensors, as well as to identifying emerging and future areas of development in this exciting field.

The Workshop, planned as 5 days event including 1 day for a mountains trip, will comprise several sessions, mainly devoted to the general concepts in experimental and theoretical studies of semiconductor gas sensors, with a special emphasis to nanostructured gas sensors.
